Facade Replacement
Replacement of a building facade or ‘recladding’ refers to the upgrade or replacement of the external cladding of a building. Opting to reclad can be due to a number of reasons from updating the design and appeal of a building to improving the overall performance of the facade making it more energy efficient. The most common reason for recladding is the identification of non-compliant cladding materials. These materials are considered combustible and may not meet current Australian standards AS1530.1, but more importantly could pose a significant risk to the building occupants and others around it.
